How is the weight calculated?

The cost of each product is given per unit, however, understanding our customer's need to know the final weight of the product they expect to receive, Pata Negra Schinken is committed to having all their hams and shoulders delivered with a guaranteed minimum and maximum weight.

Additionally, we established an average weight of the pieces we constantly send so, when making a purchase the customer have a more accurate reference of the product that will be recieved."
What do the labels mean?
"The differences of each product's classification are the following:

Black Label: Ham or Shoulder 100% Iberian bred in total freedom and food based on acorns and fruits of the field.

Red Label: Ham or Shoulder with a 50-75% Iberian breed raised free in descent with acorn and fruits of the field.

Green Label: Ham or Shoulder with a 50-75% Iberian breed raised free in the wild and fed with herbs and berries

White Label: Ham or Shoulder raised in intensive regime, that is to say, deprived of freedom and feeding with fodder.

How is the quality of each label determined?

Feding the pig is so important that this ham is classified basically according to the amount of acorn that has consumed before the slaughter. According to regulations extended and established from 2014, in order to avoid possible confusion to the final consumer, a common labelling is established for all producers in which the slaughterhouse itself marks each of the pieces with an inviolable clamp (flange) of established colour that will specify the quality of each of the products.
